As a private patient, I requested services from this entity, but I believe it was the worst choice I could make. The services from reception to procedure is horrible, insensitive, they scold you in the worst way. They have no human warmth to treat patients and less for giving advice on what the service costs. Zero recommendations and very disappointed.

Terrible service. They removed my IUD during a Pap smear. I went for a checkup and according to them, it only had long strings. And I was so uncomfortable that I had to go to the doctor’s emergency room. When they did the ultrasound, it was clear I had it inserted incorrectly. 😠😠😠 Aside from that, I paid for the Pap smear, then for the IUD checkup, and they didn’t do anything except take my money. It seems like a scam to me that they check someone and don’t fix what they damaged. AWFUL SERVICE!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. HAAAAA WHAT IF I HAD NOT REALIZED AND ENDED UP PREGNANT? IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE PLAYING WITH THE LIVES OF THEIR PATIENTS.

The service of @profamilia became mediocre in everything, delay in results of pregnancy tests and cytology…they do not have efficient communication channels, they require going in person, when there is email, WhatsApp, telephone to confirm data and they make you fill out a form leaving authorization for the digital sending of results, which do not arrive and if they do arrive it is not in accordance with what is requested…It is worse than going to the EPS and what you are paying for is not free. My advice is not to go back there for a pregnancy test or for exams that come out much faster in another laboratory than in that place.

The service is beyond terrible, the staff is rude and impolite. At first, when I requested an appointment by phone at the Profamilia appointment center, they told me that the EPS would cover the cost of this. Even though the appointment was due, they did not see me until I paid the $96,000 because it was a private appointment. Then we had to wait for more or less two hours to be seen, since according to them we had billed late and had already missed the appointment (so why did they receive the money???). Then, a “health professional” gave a totally wrong diagnosis, even showing results and imaging…

Terrible! I bought a menstrual cup supposedly from the MeLuna brand. Unfortunately, after the purchase and due to the mistrust it generated, a professional on the subject informed me that it wasn’t actually the original cup. Very bad! I bought it from Profamilia thinking it was a safe and reliable place to buy it. They sell it for a high price, but it’s one of the cheap ones; who knows what kind of material they’re made of? I didn’t think a reputable place would sell counterfeit cups from a brand; they copy the name to make you think it’s the original, but it isn’t.

I do not recommend that you have any procedure with Dr. [name redacted]. On Monday I went to have a withdrawal and insert a 3-year subcutaneous contraceptive and from the moment I entered the reception customer service was very bad (very rude and did not give information) when the doctor did the procedure and supposedly put me anesthesia, the anesthesia had no effect because I felt like she was cutting my arm with the blade and when I complained she did nothing, she just continued and I ended up with too much pain and with my skin damaged, something that on two occasions that they have done it to me it has not hurt at all… Please hire better staff

I had an ovarian cystectomy, the anesthesia appointment was difficult to schedule and ended up being virtual with a doctor who was in another city and the surgery was scheduled 4 months later. The day of the surgery was supposed to be at 7am then they changed the time to 2 and I arrived at that time but the surgery was not until 5pm. During that time they left me sitting in a chair with a “blanket” made of the same material as the surgical gown. I was fasting so I was very cold. They kept saying the gynecologist was coming and she showed up 3 hours later. They didn’t give me any painkillers, I had to go to the EPS, They didn’t prescribe any antibiotics or antiembolic stockings.

The worst care, they installed the IUD in me and it was the worst pain. They didn’t tell me to take anything before or warn me about anything. They did a Pap smear on me, which came back abnormal, and they weren’t able to call me to pick up my results, which could have been cancer. On top of that, when I asked if my mother could pick up my results because I wouldn’t be in the country, they said yes (with the ticket and ID), but when she went, they denied her permission. They’d told me it was possible, and I had an ASCUS, but they didn’t give them to her, nor did they call me. Outrageous.

At Profamilia Teusaquillo headquarters, terrible service. They schedule an appointment over the phone and you have to arrive half an hour in advance. We waited almost two hours and they never called us to check in. When we asked, they didn’t schedule an appointment but rather that it was with availability of time. The reception staff had a bad face and attitude and didn’t resolve anything. The only thing they answered was that you have to have availability of time more than 3 hours. I don’t recommend it.

Today I had an appointment with you for a tubal ligation. From the very first moment of the evaluation interview, this professional made me feel very uncomfortable. She showed me no empathy or eye contact. Furthermore, I was not informed that I would have to undress for a gynecological exam with her. At no point did she instill in me any security or confidence. Her treatment was always curt and hostile toward me, and every question I asked was answered rudely and in a tone of annoyance. The check-up was extremely uncomfortable for me and I didn’t get better because after getting dressed again and leaving I wanted to correct some information, since she had asked me if at my most recent appointment with gynecology they had mentioned anything about my being overweight, at first as I was nervous and uncomfortable I told her yes but that they hadn’t sent me anything since the gynecologist wanted to wait for my polycystic ovary treatment, which is true, however I remembered that she had recommended me an appointment with human nutrition and when I wanted to rectify my answer the professional interrupted me with the following exact words. “I know how you guys are about this. You’re fat, you’re obese. You don’t like it when we tell you that, but we have to do it ourselves.” She then told me (sarcastically) that because of this, she couldn’t schedule me for the procedure. I had to go diagonally across the street to the anesthesiologist to have my tests validated (when I really had to go down to the first floor to get the number for that area to schedule the appointment). In addition, I was already aware that the procedure for scheduling the surgery was to go for an evaluation and then to anesthesiologist, and that this last step didn’t depend on my weight.
This professional has no empathy for the women who come to her office; she’s despotic, cold, and tactless when it comes to commenting on other people’s bodies. I want to let you know that I have a mirror that I and all women who are struggling with excess weight know we have, and most of us don’t have it for fun. Most of them are not only dealing with a few extra pounds but also with mental health issues that the “professional” ignores. Yes, it’s true that she isn’t qualified to know all the problems that plague the thousands of people who go through profamilia every day, but tact and empathy, especially when working in a profession as human as medicine, I believe, in my humble opinion, are invaluable.

She asked me if I had problems understanding, she was offended because my mother was in the waiting room next to me. The truth is I see it as normal. I told her that I am not a friend of pap smears for fear, (obviously pap smears are important). She made fun of me with smiles several times for not going to a pap smear. The truth is I felt poorly attended to. The questions I asked were answered with scolding. She clarified that I have a hormonal problem for which I seek help with a planning method. My appointment was paid for privately. I just wanted to feel safe with a person of good human quality. I leave this precedent, that lady does not have the Education to work in such a prestigious place, I do not recommend this lady. Thank you

They referred me from the EPS (Health Care System). I had all the tests, but they weren’t able to see me. They told me I had to make an appointment, and that they couldn’t get it right there. I had to go on Monday at 7 a.m. to get it, but that it wasn’t safe anyway because they didn’t know if they would have an appointment available. Because of Profamilia, more than one woman goes to clandestine clinics because the PRIVATE HEALTH CARE center doesn’t do anything. The only thing they want to do is make the procedure slower so they can perform a CUTTING and charge you more! You have to pay for every procedure, and they make the process more difficult so you pay triple the price.

Communication when trying to schedule an appointment is quite complicated. The information provided is neither clear nor complete, which creates confusion and makes the process difficult. I believe this aspect should be significantly improved. In my case, I was specifically evaluating the ROPA method, and with all due respect, I think the information provided doesn’t make much sense, since, as I was told, they only evaluate one of the two people. For this procedure, it’s essential to evaluate both, so this guidance is incorrect or incomplete. It seems that, instead of offering comprehensive care from the start, the goal is to get people to make more appointments and generate additional charges. It would be important for the staff to receive more training and adopt a more humane and empathetic approach, especially regarding such a sensitive issue. Honestly, I expected much more from the institution.

It’s a place where people without soul or values work. Dr. Triana is a rude and unprofessional person who isn’t afraid to make fun of the problems of others and her colleagues. They left me without my attending physician; they fired her without telling her patients. In psychology, they only care about your money. They wouldn’t let me keep an appointment I paid for (according to them, I didn’t). Plus, getting an appointment with them is a challenge, just like at a public health system, when you PAY a lot. Don’t go there; don’t waste your money and time.

I had an ISCI IVF procedure. They make you rate the process with 5 stars when you first arrive. Then you start realizing the flaws and there’s nothing you can do about it. They offer to see the embryo process, etc., but you never see anything. So you have to blindly trust them. I never knew if the procedure was actually done. I noticed they were more interested in the money than in us. And you have to make an appointment for everything, paying for it separately, of course, so that, with luck, they’ll see you. Not at all recommended.
