Planned Parenthood in Canada has a different structure. It’s not a single national organization. The local organizations covered under the Planned Parenthood name are independently incorporated. What was Planned Parenthood Canada is now Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights, a coalition formed with other organizations in 2016.

[2] [Douge-Charles] filed Application 2018-32061-I alleging discrimination contrary to the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended (the “Code”). Ms. Douge-Charles alleges that anti-Black racism contributed to the termination of her employment, and more generally alleges discrimination on the grounds of race, ancestry, citizenship, colour, disability, ethnic origin, place of origin association, gender expression, association and reprisal.
[3] In addition, [Prempeh] filed Application 2018-33167-I alleging discrimination contrary to the Code. Xe alleges that xe was subject to a poisoned work environment based on the grounds of race, gender identity, gender expression, association and reprisal.
[4] Finally, [Moorhouse] filed Application 2018-31272-I. They allege that they were denied proper workplace accommodation on the grounds of disability and gender identity.
All Applicants were self-represented. This was a request that the cases be consolidated, which the court decided not to do.

I’m emailing to submit this complaint as I was injured during a routine medical procedure at Planned Parenthood Toronto on November 27 2020 . . .
Since that day I’ve been in constant, searing, pulsing, bed-limiting, life-disrupting pain. The pain comes from a specific point, about an inch in diameter, located 1 third of the way between my hip bone and my belly button, and shoots in a few directions through my hip, leg, and back. I can’t lay on my sides at all without pain, and when I go to reach for anything too far to either side I get severe shots of pain as well. I can’t walk up or down stairs or for prolonged distances without a cane and I’m only 29. I cannot manage a full workload and my partner has become essentially a full time caregiver. I also cannot have intercourse due to overwhelming unbearable pain.
